This past weekend was father's day and my wonderful wife Taehee let ge goof around with my pc and wate a lot of time. I really wanted a plasma tv from best buy, but of course my concience (taehee) did not let me buy it. It has been raining quote a bit here in new orleans, so lucky for me I did nto have to do any yard work, tipeee!!! Taehee's parents are here, thank goodness, because they help a lot in taking care of the house, Taehee, And Ethan (my little 1 month son). Taehee's dad will be leaving on wed, and he seemed a little sad leaving his grandson behind. Jung-Hee is studing very hard for her michigan test to get out of IELP, because she hates it of course. She will ba taking the GMAT to get into the MBA program at UNO, so pray for her. eunji, her husband, and Thomas came over for pingpong yesterday and proved how bad and silly I am at ping pong. Oh, and my diet hit a mad mark too, I gained 1 lbs from my total 5 lbs lost!!! so angry and dissapointed at myself. Well gang that is all for right, now. I will be blogging again soon. love Alex

Jsa - Joint Security Area movie thoughts

JSA, wow what a movie! I typically don’t really care for overly macho movies, and for sure not constant-tension movies, but I still find that this movie has a lot to offer about the point of borders, enemies, and the brainwashing that happens on opposing border lines. It is a movie that shows that, as vulnerable little humans, we have pride, fear, loneliness, boredom, and the pursuit of a friend’s love.  Sometimes the extremes that one must go to protect that love and to protect the appearance of peace, and that sometimes lies are the most humanitarian thing one can do.  Park-Chan Wook knows the warmth and sheer ice-coldness of any man’s heart and he articulately puts it on display.  To show you that no matter what your illusion of control you have, you are nothing but a puppet of circumstance. 8/10

Imag e Credit:  image credit   Last night  my family and I watched the timeless classic where a 54 year old who is in unholy good shape , probably by blood transfusion from olympic athletes decided to keep the same job for 30-40 years and refuses all attempts at promotion. Wait, the job part of the story is hitting me a little closer to home than I like. Anyhow he is still the best at what he does , yeah we are tommy. Somehow he has the reflexes of a Korean Starcraft2 players with 5 espresso shots and is brought to run a suicide mission where he has been asked to teach these overhormonal kids on how to beat the odds. Unfortunately for him this is also a therapy session for his estranged pseudo-nepher Rooster who is the son of Maverick’s long lost best friend Goose (yeah cant make this stuff up) where is is trying to make up for accidentally killing the kids father by being fearless and reckless.  So the way he will save the kids' life is by using the same dis...
