I guess mmm.. yeah I’m back

Hello, my friends, family, and perhaps some interested readers. Yes, it seems I am back!

Why am I back, you ask? Well, let’s see. I woke up at 4 AM for no particular reason and felt restless. I remembered I had this blog… a space for fun thoughts and reflections. Unfortunately, I lost the original template, and a domain squatter took over my original domain because my autoplay feature failed. So here we are!

I got to work recovering my domain names, and with the help of trusty GitHub Copilot, I was able to use archive.org to retrieve my site from 2019 and bring it back.

I have a complicated relationship with AI. I appreciate its efficiency and the way it reduces mundane tasks, but I also see it as an existential threat to human creativity, culture, and our diminishing attention spans. I believe my blog helps me reflect, journal, and share the thoughts I truly value on “digital paper.”

I hope to write and post more in the future. I wish all of you well after these past three years, and I hope for the best for everyone in this new year!

There are those who create and those who consume. I fortunately or unfortunately am the creative type and sometimes my work does provide a challenge that requires my creative thinking, but most often than not it only offers repetitive mundane yaks that must be stamped out. So in the meantime the brain creates problems or attention getters that really do not need attention at all, like keeping up with the news or Facebook. These are subconsciously implanted as tasks to be completed to make the brain perceive that it has more to do than what is really present. Over time this becomes the nor and things like this be one the norm at home too. You try to sit patiently and listen through your Childs story and you catch y...
